Why one team per house
I cleaned houses on my own around Brighton for nine years before I started Spruce & Shine in 2013. What my clients liked most was that it was always me: nobody new to give the alarm code to, and nothing to explain twice.
So every house we clean has one team of two, and it stays theirs. There are seven of us now, all on payroll, all background-checked, and every one of us bonded and insured.
I still do every first walk-through myself.

Questions clients ask
How often do you come?
Every week, every two weeks or every four weeks, on the same weekday each time. Every two weeks is the most common.
Do I need to be home?
No. Most clients give us a key or a door code. Keys are kept locked at the office and are never labeled with an address.
Do you bring your own supplies?
Yes, all of them, including HEPA vacuums and microfiber cloths that are washed after every house. If you’d like us to use your products, or fragrance-free ones, tell us.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry $1 million in liability insurance and a bond, and everyone on a team is an employee covered by workers’ comp. If we break something, we tell you that day and pay to repair or replace it.
How is it priced?
By the size of the house and how often we come. Rosa confirms your price after a 15-minute walk-through, and it stays the same every visit.
What if I need to skip a visit?
Text us a week ahead and there’s no charge. With less notice we charge half, since your team’s day was planned around you.
Should I tip?
It’s never expected. If you do, all of it goes to your team.
